Amara & Her Three Boys
Northern Syria
When the floods took their home in March, Amara moved her sons into a storage shed with a tin roof. Eight weeks later, Shelter crews arrived with prefab wall panels and a water filtration unit. By June, the boys had their own room for the first time in two years.

Fatima Opened Her Bakery Again
Kharkiv, Ukraine
The oven survived. The building didn't. Shelter's small-business recovery fund helped Fatima lease a new space six blocks away. She now employs four women from the neighborhood and delivers bread to two displacement centers every morning.
